状语从句

• 时间状语从句
  • When While
    • 一般过去式：短动作；过去进行时：长动作。 When the plane arrived, the two men were waiting at the airport. The plane arrived when the two men were waiting at the airport. The plane arrived while the two men were waiting at the airport.
  • before after
    • 口语/标语
      • Take the medicine before you have meals. Flush it after you use the toilet.
    • 过去完成时 before 一般过去时
      • The bus had left before Baby face arrived at the stop. The thief had gone away before Baby face got home. The thief had escaped before the police arrived.
    • 一般过去时 after 过去完成时
      • Baby face arrived at the stop after the bus had left. Baby face got home after the thief had gone away. the police arrived after the thief had excaped.
  • since
    • 现完 + since 过去时间点
      • I have worked in this school since 2005
    • 现完 + 一过解释的时间点
      • I have worked in this school since I graduated from university.
  • not ... until
    • till 直到
      • She waited for her husband till midnight.
    • 直到...才... until的动作发生时前面的动作才发生
      • She didn't go to bed until her husband come back. The boy didn't go to bed until he finished homework.
  • as soon as
    • 一...就...
      • I'll write to you as soon as I get there. I turned off the TV as soon as I saw my mom.
• 条件状语从句
  • if
    • 如果
    • If you fail in the exam, you will let me down.
  • unless
    • 除非（...否则）= if not
    • Unless it rains, the game will be played. =If it doesn't rain, the game will be played.
• 结果状语从句
  • 如此...以致于...
  • so + 形容词/副词+ that
    • The stone is so heavy that I can't lift. The boy is so cute that we all love him.
  • such + 名词短语+ that
    • It is such a heavy stone that I can't lift it. He is such a cute boy that we all love him.
  • 名词such形副so 多多少少还是so
    • There are so many people in the bus that I can't turn round. There was so much food that we couldn't eat it all. He has so few friends in Beijing that he often feels lonely. I have so little money that I can't afford the car.
    • little一词有多解 小用such少用so
      • They were such little mice that nobody noticed them.
      • The mice had so little food that they had to steal again.
• 目的状语从句
  • 为了
  • so that
    • 不能用于句首
    • He must get up early so that he can catch the first bus. He worked day and night so that he could succeed.
  • in order that
    • He must get up early in order that he can catch the first bus. He worked day an night in order that he could succeed. In order that he could succeed, he worked day and night.
    • in order to + do He worked day and night in order to succeed.
• 原因状语从句
  • 因为...所以...
  • because
  • so
  • 不能连用
    • Because I got up late, I was late for school.
    • I got up late, so I was late for school.
• 让步状语从句
  • 虽然...但是...
  • though although
  • but
  • 不能连用
    • Thought(Although) he eats too much every day, he looks very thin.
    • He eats too much every day, but he looks very thin.
• 主将(祈)从现
  • if, when, before, after, as soon as, not...until, unless
  • 如果当前后 一直到除非
• when后可长可短， while之后只可长； 若是两个都为长， while来把纽带当。
