    • （辨析）
      • country 有两个意思，一个指“国家”，一个指“乡村”（它表达的乡下和农村是一种“抽象”的描述，侧重指区别于城市的一切乡间、乡下。） country表示乡下时，前面基本上会有定冠词the，比如：in the country country表示国家时，前面一般没有the，比如：my country；this country country是指“与城市相对而言的农村”，不是指某个具体的村庄；而village则是指具体的村庄。
      • countryside：不可数名词，乡村地域或者乡村居民，构词上用的side表示这个词“有物理面积感”，比如：roadside：马路牙子；riverside：河边。 也就是说：countryside指的是农村地区的土地和风景。
      • city是指“large town”，即“城市”。
      • town 指“镇，市镇，集镇 ”。这个地方大小比村庄village大，但是比city小。
      • village 是指“村庄;村镇”。village 一般指乡下的“村子”或“村落”是可数名词，指具体的村庄； village 也可作形容词，表示“村庄的”、“乡下的”。如：village people 村民，乡下人。
