Adding either verbal or non-verbal means in the TT
Two Kinds of Addition
①在语篇中添加标点符号(punctuation marks)
e.g 1 : If a person is too outrageous, his/her pitch may become very high!(non-verbal means such as exclamation marks[!] can be added to reflect the strong emotion.
②增加称谓语(addressing terms)
e.g 1: 士兵接受将军命令时说的"是"翻译为 "Yes,Sir." The verbal mode "sir" is an addition, contextualized by the gesture of the solider.
