Theory 1. started from tropics and spread to poles.
evidence- Recovered angiosperm fossils found in South America and western Africa, which were joined together as two supercontinents at that time.
Theory 2. started from South Pacific
evidence- many most primitive forms of flowering plants are found there, like Amborella which resembles the ancient ancestor of all angiosperms and are only found in the South pacific.
Theory 3. started from northern Asia
evidence- well preserved fossils of the oldest known angiosperms were found in Beijing, China.
