How Human Ears Work
Outer Ear
Collects various sounds (loud/soft, high/low, short/long).
Middle Ear
Has eardrum and tiny bones (hammer, anvil, stirrup). Sounds hit eardrum; bones vibrate like drumsticks, sending sound to the brain.
Inner Ear
Turns the sound into messages. These messages are sent along nerves to the brain. And the brain tells what the sound is.
Hearing Problems
Some people have hearing loss due to damaged ear bones or nerves, which disrupt sound transmission to the brain.
