  • 当when

  • while

• 原因状从
  • 连接词
    • because因为，直接原因（多用于句尾）
    • since既然=now that，已知原因（多用句首）
    • as由于，鉴于，浅层原因（多用于句首）
    • for因为由于，对前句进一步解释（前有逗号）
  • 语气强烈程度
    • because>since=now that>as>for
• 地点状从
  • where
    • 具体地点
    • 抽象名词（O+2PSC）ocassion,position,point,stage,situation,scene,case,condition
  • wherever=no matter where
• 比较状从
  • 比较级more..than
    • He studies much harder than I (do)
  • 原级as...as.., not so/as..as
    • He works as hard as his brother（does）
    • He does not work as/so hard as his sister
• 条件状从
  • 如果if
    • 真实条件句（一般为主将从现）
      • If it rains,we will stop playing.
    • 虚拟条件句
      • 现在if sb.did/were If I had money/were rich,I would buy my parents a mansion.
      • 过去if sb.had done/had been done. If we had been caught in the rain,we would have been late.
      • 将来if sb.+

  • 除非if...not..=unless
    • unless从句谓语只能为肯定式
    • Unless he is in uniform,he doesn't look like a policeman.

• 让步状从，
  • although(不倒装)不可与but连用，但可以与still和yet连用

    • （副词）Hard as he works, he makes little progress.

  • no matter 疑问词=疑问词+ever(无论)
    • No matter what happened, he would not mind.
    • =Whatever happened, he would not mind.
  • while（而）表对比
    • He is strong,while his brother is weak.
  • 即使even if，even though
  • whether...or...（不管是..还是..）
  • 尽管despite，in spite of+名词短语（非从句）
• 目的状从
  • so … that…/ such ….that...
    • He got up so early that he could catch the train.
  • so that..
    • He got up early so that he could catch the train.
    • =He got up early to catch the train.
  • in order that...
    • He studies English very hard in order that he will go abroad one day
    • 区分in order to do可以位于句首和句中,in order that只能句中加从句
• 结果状从
  • so … that…/ such ….that...
    • He got up so early that he caught the train.
  • so that...
    • He got up early so that he caught the train.
    • =He got up early and caught the train.
