(预设学生不知道城市名称)This is Boston, a city in the USA. Read after me. Boston. (带读生难词)This is Toronto, a large city in Canada. Read after me. Toronto. The last one is Moscow, the capital of Russia. Read after me. Moscow. (带读生难词) 询问学生的观点 How do you think of these places? Are they beautiful? Would you like to visit these cities? All of you want to visit them. Before we visit these cities, what we should know about them first? Yes, maybe we must know the weather there. Do you think is it necessary? Yes, that's very important. So today we're going to learn how to talk about weather in different places. (导入话题,板书课题)

Boys and girls, let me show you some symbols about different weather. Look at these symbols and tell me what the weather is. (图片展示教学单词)See, this is the first one. It is a sun, right? We should say the weather is sunny. (板书sun-sunny)How about this one? Yes, cloud. So the weather is cloudy. (板书cloud-cloudy)The third one is snow and the weather is snowy or we can say snowing. (板书snow-snowy/snowing) And the next one, wind in English, so the weather is windy.(板书wind-windy)Here comes the last one. Very good. Rain. The weather is rainy or rainning. (板书rain-rainy/rainning) Now boys and girls, please read after me. sun-sunny cloud-cloudy. snow-snowy/snowing. wind-windy.(单词带读) It's your turn. Read them together. Now boys and girls, can you find the similarity between these words? Who knows? You please. Have a try. Yes, great, they all have a letter "y" at the end, right? Sit down, please. So, pay attention here, we often add the letter "y" to the nouns. And then by doing this, we can form some new words to describe different weather. Clear? Great. (词汇规则教学环节)
