There be句型

  • 某地有某物
  • 与have不同的是have通常注重拥有，而There be注重“在”
• 时态
  • 一般过去式
    • There was/were...
  • 一般现在时

• 原则
  • 就近原则
    • There is a hen and some sheep in the farm.
    • There are some sheep and a hen in the farm.
  • There be somebody doing something.
    • There was a man rowing on the river.
• 主题
  • 疑问句式
    • 谓语只含有be动词的句子直接将be提前
      • There is a student in the classroom. Is there a student in the classroom?
    • 含有情态动词的句子直接将情态动词提前
      • There will be some apples on the table. Will there be any apples on the table?
    • 完成时把have或has或had提前
      • There has been a gunfight between the two armies. Has there been a gunfight between the two armies?
  • 否定句式
    • 谓语只含有be动词的句子直接在be后加not
      • There isn't a student in the classroom.
    • 含有情态动词的句子直接在情态动词后加not
      • There won't be some apples on the table.
    • 完成时把have或has后加not，把had变成did have再在did后加not
      • There hasn't been a gunfight between the two armies.
  • 和普通句式变法基本一致。
• there be 结构中除可以用be 外，还可以用其它动词。
  • lie ，stand ，used to be ，seem to be ，appear to be 。
    • There lies a river to the south.
• 同义句式
  • There be something someplace＝Someplace have（时态与前面的be一致）something.
  • There is(was)+not +doing结构相当于It is(was) impossible to +动词原形
    • There is not going home. =It is impossible to go home.
• 题
• 注意：如果补语是复数名词，却表示一笔金额或一个总数或表达一个单个概念时，则仍用单数be形式。
  • There is five hundred dollars to pay.
