连词

• 一种虚词，就是连接词与词、短语与短语、句子与句子的词，不能在句中独立使用。
• 独角戏
  • and
    • 和(用于肯定句) I like peaches and apples.
  • or
    • 或者（用于否定/疑问句） Do you like peaches or apples? I don't like peaches or apples.
    • 否则 Hurry up, or you will be late.
  • but
    • 但是【不能和though、although连用】 I can walk but I can't fly.
  • however
    • 然而【后面加逗号】 He is careless, however, he did a good job in the exam.
      • 完形填空爱考
  • while
    • 然而(轻微转折)【连接形相同意相反的句子】 My mother likes watching TV while my father likes reading newspapers.
  • though / although
    • 虽然...但是... Though he has a lot of money,he is unhappy. = He has a lot of money but he is unhappy.

  • both... and...
    • 和…两个都 Both I and Baby like music.
  • 就近原则
    • either...or...
      • 或者...或者...；要么....要么... Either I or Baby gets the ticket.
    • neither... nor...
      • 既不…也不 Neither I or Baby likes Jazz.
    • not only... but also...
      • 不仅…而且(两个都,强调后者) Not only I but aslo Baby likes counry music.

  • so + adj./adv. + that such + 名词(短词) + that
    • 如此…以至于… The stone is so heavy that I can't move it. It is such a heavy stone that I can't move it.
    • It rained so hard(adv.) that I can't go out.
