actually ,there are 3 different forms for the pronunciation of the -ed ending , they are [t] [d] [id] . when the ending of the verb is an voiceless consonant , such as [p] [k] [s] , the - ed here pronunce [t] such as jumped , looked , and when the ending of the verb is an voiced consonant or an vowel such as [d] [g] [m] [n] or [i], the ed ending here pronunce [d] , such as dreamed , played ,prepared . besides that , when the last letter ends with a t or d , the -ed ending will pronunce [id] such as , scolded. are you clear?
